How to Lower Your Cost Per Lead With Facebook Ads in Buffalo, NY Facebook & Instagram Ads September 23, 2026 If you’re running a roofing company in Buffalo and struggling to make Facebook ads work, you’re not alone. It’s a market with real seasonality, a weather driven customer base, and homeowners who have seen enough roofing ads to be skeptical of anything that feels generic. Here’s what’s actually working right now…👇 What the numbers look like in Buffalo Running residential Facebook ads in the Buffalo market we were able to get cost per lead down to $35 with a cost per sale of $173 using an instant quote funnel. Those are numbers that make scaling straightforward because the math works at almost any reasonable job size.Getting there didn’t happen overnight. It took testing the right offer, building a form that filtered out low intent leads, and giving the algorithm enough data to optimize toward the right homeowners. Why instant quote ads work well in Buffalo Buffalo homeowners are practical. They want to know what something is going to cost before they’re willing to have a conversation. An instant quote funnel meets them where they are instead of asking them to commit to an inspection or appointment before they have any idea what they’re looking at price wise. The other thing that works in Buffalo’s favor is that private equity and large national roofing companies have driven prices up in a lot of markets. A local company that can come in at a competitive price point and show that upfront has a real edge. Homeowners in markets like this are often pleasantly surprised by what a local company actually charges compared to what they’ve been quoted before. How the form is set up matters One of the biggest mistakes roofing companies make with instant quote ads is letting Facebook auto populate the lead form. One tap and someone is technically a lead but they have no real skin in the game. They don’t remember filling it out and they don’t pick up the phone. What worked in Buffalo was having leads manually enter their information and answer a few qualifying questions. Confirms they’re a homeowner in the service area. Confirms they’re looking for roof help and not looking for work. Basic questions but they make a meaningful difference in who actually shows up in your pipeline. Seasonality and timing Buffalo has real winters and that affects when homeowners are thinking about their roofs. Spring and early summer tend to be the strongest windows for residential lead gen in this market. That doesn’t mean you shut ads off in the off season but it does mean your offer and messaging might need to shift depending on where you are in the year. Running a financing angle in the early spring when homeowners are coming out of winter and thinking about home projects tends to perform well. Something like no payments for six months removes the sticker shock and gets more people into the funnel at a time when they’re already thinking about it. What to expect in the first 30 days If you’re starting from scratch in Buffalo budget at least $100 a day to get enough volume to make real decisions. At that spend you should have a clear directional read within the first two weeks on whether the offer is landing and what your lead costs are trending toward. Don’t scale before things are dialed in. Buffalo is a market where patience in the early testing phase pays off. Get the cost per lead stable first then start putting more money behind what’s working. ℹ️ Bottom line Buffalo is a market that responds well to Facebook ads when the setup is right. The numbers are there. The homeowners are there. It just takes the right offer, the right form, and enough time to let the algorithm find its rhythm. Why Your Roofing Facebook Ads Aren’t Working (And How to Fix It)

Why Your Roofing Facebook Ads Aren’t Working (And How to Fix It) Facebook & Instagram Ads September 15, 2026 If you’ve run Facebook ads for your roofing company and felt like you were just burning money, you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common frustrations I hear from roofing owners and in most cases the platform isn’t actually the problem. Here’s what usually is. 👇 1. Your offer isn’t built for your market Most roofing companies running ads are using the same generic offer everyone else in their market is running. Free inspection. Free estimate. Get a quote today. When every company is saying the same thing, there’s no reason for a homeowner to choose you over the next ad they see.The offer is the first thing I look at when someone tells me their ads aren’t working. Before the creative, before the targeting, before anything else. If there’s no compelling reason for a homeowner in your specific market to stop scrolling and respond right now, no amount of optimization is going to fix that. A stronger offer isn’t necessarily a bigger discount. It’s something that feels relevant and timely to where that homeowner is right now. Are you in a storm affected market? Is financing a pain point in your area? Are homeowners in your city getting burned by out of town contractors after a storm? Those are all angles that can become an offer. 2. Your lead form is working against you The default Facebook lead form auto populates everything. Name, email, phone number — one tap and someone is technically a lead. The problem is that person barely had to think about it. They don’t remember filling it out. They don’t pick up the phone when you call. And you end up with a cost per lead that looks okay on paper but a cost per appointment that makes no sense. What works better is adding friction in the right places. Ask homeowners to manually enter their phone number. Add a question confirming they’re a homeowner in your service area. Ask how soon they’re looking to move forward. These questions do two things. They filter out people who aren’t serious and they give Facebook data it can use to find more people who look like your best leads. Yes your cost per lead might go up slightly. Your cost per appointment almost always goes down. 3. You’re not giving it enough time or data Facebook’s algorithm needs data to optimize. If you’re running a campaign for three days, not seeing results, and turning it off — you’re not giving it enough to work with. At the same time, running something for 30 days without making any adjustments and hoping it figures itself out isn’t the answer either. The sweet spot is checking in every three to four days early on, making small adjustments based on what the data is showing, and scaling what’s working once you have a clear picture of where things are heading. Most roofing companies either pull the plug too early or let things run too long without optimizing. Both cost you money. 4. You’re targeting too tight This one surprises a lot of people. Tighter targeting used to be the answer on Facebook. It isn’t anymore. Between iOS privacy updates and changes to Facebook’s own data practices, a lot of the granular targeting options have lost most of their effectiveness. What works better now is letting the algorithm do the heavy lifting. Run a broader geographic area and use your lead form to do the filtering. A question like “please confirm you’re a homeowner within 20 miles of this area” does the same job as tight zip code targeting without boxing the algorithm in and limiting who it can show your ads to. ℹ️ What to do if your ads still aren’t working Start with the offer. If you can’t clearly explain why a homeowner in your market should respond to your ad today instead of your competitor’s, that’s where to focus first. Then look at the form. If you’re running auto populated forms, add some qualifying questions and see what happens to your contact and set rates. Then give it time and stay close to the data in the first couple weeks. If you’ve done all of that and things still aren’t clicking, it might be a market issue, a sales process issue, or something specific to how the campaigns are structured that needs a second set of eyes. That’s what we do. If you’re running roofing ads on Meta and want an honest breakdown of what’s working and what isn’t, reach out and Carson will take a look.
